JCI Zimbabwe – “Developing leaders for a changing world.”
JCI’s goal
Our goal is to provide well rounded leaders who can lead in government, business and civil society and therefore become vectors of positive change all around the world. Positive change being measured in economic and societal growth.
Who is JCI Zimbabwe?
JCI Zimbabwe is a national organization affiliated as a member of Junior Chamber International (JCI)
We are a global non-profit organization of enterprising young leaders ages 18-40 creating positive changes around the world. Active in over 5000 communities in nearly 115 countries, JCI members are recognized for embracing new ideas and collaborating across boarders.
We support our members to develop leadership skills as they relate to individual development, business and entrepreneurship, international collaboration and community action.
Our international tagline is “Developing leaders for a changing world” – which we achieve through projects, programmes, events and training. Our members are committed to improve as individuals, to support fellow members, and to make tangible change at local, international and global levels.
JCI connects its members through a worldwide network, uniting them through a shared set of core values laid out in the JCI Creed. JCI pushes its members to overcome challenges, create opportunity from adversity, and provide meaningful improvement at a global scale
What we do as JCI Zimbabwe
JCI equips young people to become leaders with the tools and resources needed to face the biggest challenges of our time, such as promoting entrepreneurship and economic growth, ensuring quality education and promoting our values of ethical leadership. By measuring results and evaluating impact, JCI members transform challenges into opportunities for empowerment, development and sustainable impact.
International events
JCI hosts in-depth, real-world training you won’t get from university or your career and gives you the opportunity to become your best self through programs and impactful projects.
Nurturing young people into great leaders
The organization is committed to developing its members and equip them with the necessary skills to create positive change. The goal of Skills Development in JCI is to guide members and ensure that the JCI Action Framework is exercised diligently in advocacies that serve humanity.
Courses and materials
Members are encouraged to assess their capabilities, design solutions, enable innovations, and determine areas of growth. JCI gives its members access to a variety of courses and materials developed by members who have devoted their journey in JCI to uplifting others.
Impactful programs and projects
Impactful programs and projects start as simple ideas which leaders highlight, cultivate, and translate into action. Growth is inculcated in this process and skills development is at the core pushing members to level up. JCI Skills Development ensures that members are guided to be better.
Why we do it?
JCI gives members a versatile, truly valuable experience. It’s not a charity, but it does provide members with the opportunity and tools to make amazing changes to the society around them. It’s not a training organization, but it does enable members to make enormous personal and professional developments. It’s not a social club or business networking organization, but the networking and outreach opportunities are plenty. Guided by the passion to lead the world in a new direction, JCI members are ordinary individuals who do extraordinary things. We are individuals who see challenges not as obstacles, but as opportunities, and then we work together to make sure those opportunities are realized. We work as one united team to create real impacts—amplifying our global voice in order to be the organization that unites all sectors of society to create new, global opportunities.
